Government offices to observe East holiday on Good Friday

Most government offices will be closed Friday in observance of Easter.
Wayne County offices and those of the city of Goldsboro will be closed on Friday, as well as the town halls in Mount Olive, Fremont and Pikeville.
Waste Industries will service customers' carts on Thursday instead of Friday. Customers are asked to pull their cart curbside on Wednesday night for Thursday's pickup.
Solid waste normally picked up by the city of Goldsboro will be picked up on Wednesday instead.
The Wayne County landfill and all convenience waste disposal sites will be closed Friday, but reopen on Saturday.
The Wayne County Senior Center at 100 S. John St. also will be closed on Good Friday.
The Wayne County Public Library will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority GATEWAY bus system will operate on a holiday schedule on Friday. The bus service will operate from 9:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. The van service will operate on its normal schedule. Passengers requesting van service for Friday, April 10, Saturday, April 11, and Monday, April 13, must call and schedule transportation by 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8.
