Wayne Community College offers continuing education courses

Wayne Community College Continuing Education will start three courses this spring that lead to professional certifications.
Auto Safety and Emission Control Inspection and Auto Safety and OBD (on-board diagnostics) Emission Control Inspection prepare auto technicians and service personnel to be safety and emission inspectors for motor vehicles. The first course will be taught April 7 and 8 and May 5 and 6. The second is set for April 14 and 15, and May 12 and 13.
Both will be held in Room 105 of the Magnolia Building from 6-10 p.m. Cost is $50 each.
An EPA Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling Certification course will the held on Wednesdays, 6-10 p.m., from April 1 through April 29 in Room 110 of the Magnolia Building. The fee for this class is $55.
The course is designed for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technical personnel. It teaches about U.S. Environment Protection Agency-mandated requirements related to air quality standards.
Students may register and pay for these course in the continuing education division's customer service desk in the Walnut Building or at the first class session.
