A 42-year-old woman was shot "several times" while sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle outside 304 N. Leslie St. on Tuesday evening, Goldsboro police said.

Barbara Ann Bandy, who lives at the address of the incident, was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, and was transferred to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Information from Pitt Memorial Hospital about Ms. Bandy's condition could not be retrieved before deadline.

The house was fired upon as well, and police said Leonard Broadhurst, 50, who lives with Ms. Bandy, was also inside the home.

Also inside were Herman Hardy, 58, of North Claiborne Street and Jerry Spruill, 51, of Alabama Avenue, police said.

They were not injured, according to the police report.

Police had no suspects at the time the report was taken, records show.

Potential charges against the perpetrator would include firing into an occupied dwelling and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury, according to the police report.

Police recorded $600 in damages to the vehicle's windshield and $100 to a front passenger window.

Inside the home, police documented about $100 in damages from gunfire to the front door and various interior and exterior walls, according to the police report.
