Clergy luncheon Feb. 26

The STOP The Funeral Initiative will hold a clergy luncheon on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Rebuilding Broken Places CDC at 2105 N. William Street. The event will feature the Rev. Dr. Madeline McClenny-Sadler, founder of the Exodus Foundation.org.
Dr. Sadler will be unveiling the "Freedom Kit," a program design to assist clergy minister effectively to with the growing population of incarcerated African-Americans that are entering churches.
The event will provide a brief introduction to the Freedom Kit that is being rolled out nationally as a resource to congregations by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. It can be used to develop or improve after-prison care ministries in churches.

The luncheon is free.
