Two days added to school year for snow makeup

The school year for Wayne County Public Schools will now be extended by a day because of snow makeup days announced by school officials.
Tuesday, June 9, was originally scheduled as the last day of the school year. That will now be a regular school day, with Wednesday, June 10, becoming the final day of classes for students, as well as an early release day.
District schools were closed on Jan. 22 and Feb. 4 due to inclement weather. The other makeup day has been set for Friday, March 27, originally slated a teacher workday.
