Mount Olive man killed in motorcycle accident

MOUNT OLIVE -- A Mount Olive man died Saturday in a motorcycle accident on West Main Street extension just outside of town.
Dennis A. Brock, 48, of Emmett Davis Lane, died after his motorcycle skidded and fell on the roadway in a curve about mid-day, authorities said.
Attempts were made to air-lift him to Pitt Memorial Hospital but his injuries were too serious and he died en route.
Brock was the commander of the Goldsboro Rifles, the local chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Troopers with the state Highway Patrol were called to the scene. Efforts to reach the patrol late Saturday were unsuccessful.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
