Wayne County Services on Aging is hosting two programs this week at the Senior Center,100 S. John St.

The first, on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., will be a program about the property tax homestead exemption. David Ward, county tax administrator, and Alan Lumpkin, assistant tax administrator, will be on hand to explain the exemption -- a senior citizen/disablity tax exemption. Income limits will be given and a question-and-answer period will follow the presentation. The program is free and open to the public.

Then, on Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m., Eryn McAuliffe, director of Wayne County Services on Aging, and Nancy Gendreau, information and referral specialist, will host a breakfast for seniors. It is an opportunity for seniors to talk to them one-on-one with any questions, concerns or suggestions for improvement.
