Juvenile charged
Another juvenile was charged in connection with two break-ins at Family Dollar on South George Street, police said. The unnamed juvenile is the second arrest made in the case, and was charged with felony-level breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property, police said.
Vehicle shot into
Darrick and Crystal Raiford of Sydney Drive, Dudley, reported they saw a black male in a blue Chrysler PT cruiser firing shots from the back seat, according to a Goldsboro police report. Raiford said he was driving south on Herman Street when a bullet struck the windshield, landing in the back seat of the vehicle, police said. The couple were not injured, but Raiford's Ford Explorer suffered about $325 in damages, police said.
Break-ins
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported three break-ins on Wednesday:
*Kyle Reid of Southfield Drive said someone broke into his shed Wednesday night, taking a circular saw, a cordless drill and flashlight set and a set of drill bits, a report shows.
*Myrtle Place Apartments employee Robert Allen reported that a rear office window was broken at the North Hereford Drive apartment complex on Wednesday morning. Someone entered and stole a computer system, including the monitor, according to the report.
*R.G. Grady of Slick Rock Road reported someone pried open the rear door of his residence, entered and stole a gaming system, a jewelry box with miscellaneous jewelry, a class ring and $600 in cash, the Sheriff's Office report shows.
