Teen charged in baseball bat assault

A Raleigh teen found living with friends in the Brogden area along U.S. 117 near Dudley has been charged with an early January baseball bat assault, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said. Lacy Douglas Hocutt, 17, was charged with hitting a 14-year-old with the bat, and the victim is still in the hospital, the Wayne County Sheriff's office reported.
