Ryan Hood straightens an Elvis poster in his museum in a storage building behind his home in Goldsboro.

Ryan Hood has been a longtime Elvis Presley fan, creating his own museum in a converted storage building behind his Goldsboro home. Among the memorabilia he has on display are souvenirs from trips to Graceland, Elvis' home in Memphis, Tennessee, framed records and a book autographed by Elvis' tailor. Born Jan. 8, 1935, Presley died Aug. 16, 1977. To celebrate what would have been Elvis' 74th birthday Thursday, Ryan opened up the museum for his classmates at Wayne Community College.
