A group of four F-15E Strike Eagles are seen during a flyover for the Salute the Troops parade in downtown Raleigh in April.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, the inauguration ceremony for Governor-elect Beverly Perdue and the rest of the Council of State will begin in front of the Office of Archives & History Building, 109 E. Jones St. in Raleigh.

The actual swearing-in will begin at 10:30 a.m., and airmen from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base will be participating as the 334th Fighter Squadron from the 4th Fighter Wing will perform a four-ship fly-over.

Also participating will be Wilber's Barbecue, which will be one of two barbecue restaurants catering the Governor's Inaugural Ball.

After the ceremony the inaugural parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will travel up Fayetteville Street toward the old Capitol building. The Executive Mansion will be open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m.

All events Saturday, except for the evening's inaugural balls, are free and open to the public.
