A Goldsboro man who was shot early this morning is in stable condition just hours after he was found lying in a William Street parking lot.
Charles Demont Best was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital moments after a neighbor heard gunshots and found the 24-year-old victim of them.
No additional information was available at press time and the Goldsboro Police Department gave no indication that the shooter is in custody.
In a separate incident, 27-year-old Mimosa Street resident Derrick Raymount Best was arrested for attempted first-degree murder and firing into occupied property.
