A Goldsboro native has won an Award of Merit from the Indie Film Fest.
Kara B. Still of Wilmington was honored for her film "Altared."
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a master's degree from UNC-Wilmington.
The film focuses on the dynamics of relationships.
The Indie Fest recognizes film professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and those who produce standout entertainment or contribute to profound social change. Entries are judged by highly qualified professionals in the film industry.
