Three Wish Trees have been placed in Berkeley Mall, and they are ready for shoppers to adopt a child or a senior citizen and buy a Christmas gift for them.

The trees are located at the front entrance of the mall. One is the Senior Tree with snowflake tags. One is the Boys Tree with car tags. And the third is the Girls Tree with bumble bee tags.

The trees went up Nov. 12 and will remain available for shoppers to pick up cards through Dec. 12

Berkeley Mall Manager Linda Priestley says it's easy to adopt a child or a senior citizen for Christmas. Just pick a tag off one of the trees. Gift suggestions are on the back of each tag. Purchase a present. Wrap the gift and put the tag (number side up) on the outside of the box.. And the best way to make sure the tag does not get lost is to tape it to the present.

Return the wrapped gift to the Kay Jewelers store on or before Dec. 12. There is a box inside the store for the gifts.

The mall office and maintenance staff will deliver the presents to the proper organization. All organizations are in Wayne County.

For information call the mall office at 778-4616.
