Closings planned for Thursday and Friday

Most government offices across Wayne County will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving, along with many businesses.
The county public school system will dismiss early today and resume classes on Monday.
Waste Industries will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Officials with the company said solid waste will be collected on Friday instead of Thursday. Friday's waste collection schedule will not change.
The offices of the city of Goldsboro will be closed Thursday and Friday. Solid waste collection scheduled for Thursday will be handled today, and collection scheduled for Friday will be handled Saturday. This includes waste, recycling and limbs and leaves.
All Wayne County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Thursday is a holiday for county employees while Friday is a normal day off under the county's four-day workweek.
The U.S. Postal Service and all local banks will be closed Thursday but open Friday.
State offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday. Federal offices will be closed Thursday only.
The offices of the town of Pikeville will be closed on Thursday. Solid waste collection scheduled for Thursday will be done Friday. Solid waste collection scheduled for Friday will be picked up as normal.
The town of Mount Olive offices will also be closed Thursday and Friday. The town's public works department will pick up recyclables today instead of Thursday.
Walnut Creek village offices will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday as well, and recyclables will be collected on Friday instead of the usual Thursday service.
Fremont Town Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Duplin County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, as well as the town halls in Faison and Calypso.
The Seven Springs Town Hall also will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
The GATEWAY bus system will offer free rides on Friday.
