Armed robbery

Clifton Ellis of East Walnut Street reported he was robbed at gunpoint while walking in the 400 block of Gulley Street early Thursday morning, according to a Goldsboro police report. The suspect reportedly hit Ellis in the face with a small handgun before taking his wallet and a flashlight, police said. The suspect is described as a black male, in his late teens to early 20s, wearing blue jeans and a navy blue shirt, the report shows.

Missing person

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Shirley Price Lineberry of Dallas Road reported that Holly Lineberry, 27, who has some medical issues, left home on Monday and has not returned. Ms. Price-Lineberry said her granddaughter was last seen wearing blue jeans, white New Balance shoes and brown-and-green T-shirt with leaves on it. She was also carrying a dark gray or green fleece shirt, a witness said. Call the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 731-1481 with information about Ms. Lineberry's whereabouts.

Another vehicle break-in arrest

Goldsboro police say Linwood Amerson, 39, of East Maple Street is responsible for a September 2008 motor vehicle break-in. Investigator Dwayne Bevell said Derrell Jackson's vehicle was broken into in the early morning hours, and assorted clothing and electronics were taken. Amerson has been charged numerous times by authorities, leading to an additional charge of habitual felony offense, an arrest report shows. Amerson was also charged with felonious breaking or entering a motor vehicle, felonious larceny and was jailed under $15,000 bond, Bevell said.
