Murder trial underway

Prosecutors called witnesses today in the trial of Mary Kim Little of Pikeville, accused in the November 2006 death of Jose Enriquez III, 45, at Enriquez's Pikeville area home. Ms. Little is facing a charge of second-degree murder in the death, in which Enriquez was stabbed at the Tindale Place home. Sheriff's Office Capt. Tom Effler was called to testify, identifying a 13-inch long knife with an 8-inch blade, among other testimony. For the complete story, pick up a copy of Thursday's Goldsboro News-Argus.
