Woman shot in home

Kelly Garner of Melodie Lane was shot in the arm when a suspect fired rounds into the home just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report. Four other people were at the home at the time of the shooting, according to the report. Leads and suspects are being investigated, according to the report. Shortly after the report at the Garner residence, Nur Dilek Hudson and other occupants of her residence reported the home was hit with gunfire while the family slept, according to the report.

Advertising fraud

Hal Keck of Houser Real Estate reported that a man sold him advertising space to a pamphlet that does not exist, according to a Goldsboro police report. Keck reported Tuesday that a white male, about 55 years old, 5-feet 9-inches tall, with a medium build, balding with thin and short brown and gray hair, sold him the ad in late September, and Keck later found out the pamphlet did not exist and that the man did not work for the company he claimed, according to the report.

Car shot

Erica Pride of Daly Boulevard, Mount Olive reported gunfire caused $500 in damage to her driver's side rear door as she drove on Georgia Farms Road in Dudley, near Brewington Road. The Sheriff's Office is investigating possible suspects in the case, according to the report.
