Man shot in leg
Manyele Lofton of Walnut Street told police he was shot in the legs several times by a man unknown to him around 1:28 a.m. in the 700 block of East Elm Street. Lofton, who suffered minor injuries, did not report the incident until around 4:28 a.m., telling police he had been hiding from his assailant until then, according to a police report.
Charges added
A teenager already in jail for breaking and entering, felonious larceny and possessing stolen goods faces a similar charge for another incident, Goldsboro police say. Javaris Tramell Simmons, 18, North Jackson Street, had $15,000 added to a $40,000 secured bond for possession of stolen goods, police said.
