'Strong-arm' mugging
Christopher Boseman, 15, of Outlaw Road, was reportedly dragged behind Best Quality Food Mart at the corner of Outlaw Road and U.S. 117 Alternate in Dudley and robbed, a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report shows. Boseman lost $5 and a cell phone in the strong-arm style robbery, the report states. The 15-year-old was also struck with a fist by the suspect, causing minor injury, according to the report.
Copper theft
About 3,000 linear feet of different gauges of copper wire were reported stolen from Wayne Electric Co. on North Carolina Street on Tuesday, Goldsboro police said. The wire cost the company about $1,000 to purchase, police said.
Attempted shooting
According to a police report, Latiqua Moore of Chestnut Circle reported her boyfriend tried to shoot her. Domestic violence warrants were secured on Tyron Anthony Hart, 18, who is currently homeless, according to police.
Walnut Creek Golf Course damaged
Walnut Creek police are asking for help in finding who damaged their golf greens sometime Monday evening. They believe the suspects entered the course on a four-wheeler off a path that trails through the southern part of Walnut Creek to Spring Creek Elementary and St. Johns Church Road. The amount of damages are currently unknown. Anyone with information is asked to call 778-9991.
