Man wanted help in fight, shoots vehicle
Goldsboro police said an East Elm Street man had his vehicle shot on Monday morning after refusing to come to the aid of an acquaintance he saw involved in a fight. Earnest Boney, 35, saw an acquaintance in a fight in the roadway in front of 817 Crawford Street around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, police said. The acquaintance reportedly told Boney because he did not help in the fight, Boney was now "his worst enemy," according to the report. The acquaintance returned in a black-colored Acura and shot Boney's 1985 Ford F150, which suffered $300 in damage, police said. Boney told police he would seek
property damage warrants, the report shows.
