Board assault
Crystal Toler, 19, of West Gratham Street reported that her boyfriend hit her in the face Sunday afternoon with a 2-inch by 4-inch piece of lumber, causing minor injury, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report. The incident occurred at the boyfriend's Old Smithfield Highway home in Princeton, the report states.
Correction -- this report incorrectly said Crystal Toler of West Grantham Street had been struck in the face. She was hit on the knee with a two-by-four by her assailant. The story also said the injury was minor but physicians have said it is more serious that first believed.
