Wayne Community College fire
Edward Farris of Wayne Community College told police someone set fire to a bulletin board on the second floor of college's Azalea building on Monday afternoon, causing $1,500 in damage.
Men rob Pantry
Two black males robbed the Pantry convenience store early Tuesday morning, Goldsboro police said. One subject was armed with a handgun, and both subjects went across the counter to get cash from the register, police said. The suspects are described as tall and thin, in their late teens to early 20s, and left in a white four-door vehicle, police said.
Thefts
*Margie Warwick of Gloucester Road reorted that $3,200 in property was stolen from her home on Monday night, Goldsboro police said.
*Mark McDowell of Redfield Place reported that $2,050 in property was stolen from his truck bed while parked at the Spence Avenue Wal-Mart over the weekend, police said.
*Ruffin Lofton of Whitfield Drive reported that his home was ransacked on Monday night, and weapons, money and other items worth $1,500 were stolen, police said.
*Don Edmunson of Greenville-based Edmunson Construction reported stolen Monday a two-ton heat pump worth $1,400 from a Planter Ridge Drive construction site, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
