STOP the Funeral prayer walk to be held Staurday

The members of the STOP the Funeral Initiative will hold their second annual prayer walk Saturday at 8 a.m., starting at Fairview Park.
The event is intended to draw attention to the need for the Goldsboro community to come together to help stop the violence that has claimed the lives of too many young people.
T-shirts can be purchased at the start of the walk for $15.
Walkers will gather a half hour before the event for a time of music, praise and a slide show. More than 40 churches and a number of local civic and government leaders are expected to take part.
