School Street School vandalized

Jerri Thomas of the Wayne County Schools reported that 47 windows, eight Venetian blinds, a television and a computer monitor worth about $4,000 were damaged at the school. An officer found a rock on the floor apparently used to smash the window. In classroom 103, a BB gun was used to shoot holes into the monitor and television. Windows had been shot from inside the classroom and outside the school, police said.

Drunk driver hits girlfriend

A Princeton man accused of hitting his girlfriend in a South George Street parking lot fled when she called the police, but authorities found him driving drunk not far away, according to a report. Thomas Kelley Sewell, 50, Jump Road, was charged with driving while impaired, having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle and assault on a female, police said. Sewell's girlfiend, Regina Herring, had a cut on her forehead from the strike, police said.
