Suspect runs
Terry Devon Gaines, 18, of Waynewood Drive, ran into thick woods when officers tried to arrest him Saturday, police said. Gaines faces four counts resist, delay or obstruct police, malicious conduct by a prisoner, two counts assault police and was jailed under $80,000 bond.
Break-in suspect
An investigator accuses Eric Phillip Triplett, 33, North Carolina Street, of a May break-in on Poplar Street reported by Monique Speaks, according to a release. Triplett is charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and felonious larceny of a financial card, police said. Triplett was jailed under $3,000 bond, police said.
