Businesses, government offices closed Monday

The City of Goldsboro will observe Memorial Day on Monday. All offices will be closed and sanitation services scheduled for Monday will be made on Wednesday.
Also, all federal, state and Wayne County offices will be closed.
Town halls in Pikeville, Fremont and Mount Olive also will be closed.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will be operating on a holiday schedule on Memorial Day, Monday.
Bus service will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with the van service on its normal schedule for passengers who scheduled rides by 2:30 p.m., Thursday.
All Wayne County waste disposal and recycling centers will be closed.
All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will be closed Monday.
Waste Industries will be operating on a one-day delayed schedule Monday through Thursday. Normal collection will resume Friday.
Most banks in Wayne County, including Wachovia, Southern Bank and RBC Centura, will be closed on Monday.
The Wayne County Public Schools also will be closed Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Students, however, will be required to make up the day on Saturday, May 31, with an scheduled for early dismissal around noon.
