Schools set graduation ceremonies

Four area high schools will salute their graduates Friday.
All four ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m.
Faith Christian Academy has 23 candidates. Ceremonies are planned in the school gym, with pastor Dann Patrick speaking.
Austen Grant Webber is class valedictorian, and John Lee Hinson III is salutatorian. Webber is undecided on his choice of college and Hinson said he plans to attend East Carolina University and study journalism.
Wayne Christian School has 21 graduates, with ceremonies being held in the school gym. Pastor Dave Johnson of Freedom Baptist Church will give the commencement address.
Valedictorian Logan Dawson and salutatorian Hannah Glover will also speak, and Matt Rouse, senior class president, will present the class gift. Ms. Dawson has been accepted to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and plans to study pharmacy, while Ms. Glover will attend Belhaven College in Mississ-ippi and study dance.
Wayne Country Day School will graduate 29 students during ceremonies in the school gymnasium.
David Wilson and Grace Lee are co-valedictorians this year. Wilson said he will attend UNC-Chapel Hill, to study biology and Ms. Lee plans to pursue studies in international relations at New York University.
Wayne Early/Middle College High School, Wayne County Public Schools' 33rd school added a year ago on the Wayne Community College campus, will hold its event in Moffatt Auditorium. Thirty-two diplomas will be handed out.
Several students from the graduating class will be selected to speak during the school's second graduation.
