Central High School Homecoming schedule set

Central Alumni and Friends will hold its 36th annual Homecoming Friday through Sunday. Central High School Classes of 1938, '48, '58 and '68, and the Eastern Wayne High School Classes of 1978, '88, '98 and 2008 will be honored.
The banquet will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Officers' Club. The guest speaker will be Eldress Mildred McLaurin Ross of LaGrange, a member of the Central High School Class of 1968. A fellowship hour will follow the banquet at 9 p.m.
Then, on Saturday, a dutch breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. at Madison's Prime Rib.
The parade will follow at noon in the Central Heights Community. Line up will begin at 11 a.m. at the Eastern Wayne Middle School (Central). Entry forms are available.
The annual Family Picnic will then be held at 1 p.m. at Eastern Wayne Middle School. Dinner will be served from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
Then come at 9 p.m. for the hospitality hour at Quality Inn and Suites, where music will be by "Sweet and Nice -- LJ the DJ." Tickets are $15.
The alumni chapter will worship at Woods Chapel FWB Church at 11 a.m., Sunday.
An awards/gospel program will be held at Woods Chapel FWB Church at 5 p.m. Individual or group talent is welcome.
