Wingate University awards local students scholarships

Brian David Alexander and Michael Hayden Gardner of Goldsboro, graduating seniors at Wayne Christian School, have been accepted into Wingate University for the fall of 2008.
Each has earned the Irwin W. Belk Scholarship.
The scholarship has a four-year value of $56,000 ($14,000 per academic year). Brian and Hayden were chosen to receive the scholarships based on their academic success, and community involvement.
Brian is the son of William and Judy Alexander.
Hayden is the son of David and Cova Gardner.
