Copper theft
Best Sand and Gravel at 117 Best Sand and Gravel Road reported to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office the larceny of $6,000 worth of copper wiring.
Armed Robbery
Mount Olive police are searching for an armed gunman who robbed the Friendly Mart No. 6, 819 N. Breazeale Ave. about 1:50 a.m. today. No one was injured.
Police said that the robber, a black male, entered the store, pointed an automatic handgun at everyone in the store, and told them "to get back" before making his way around the counter to the safe.
The thief made off with $1,205 in cash.
The suspect, who was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and blue bandanna, was wearing a stocking over his face. He fled on foot down South Breazeale Avenue.
Financial card theft
A financial card theft and fraud was reported to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office by Geraldine H. Sugg of U.S. 70 West. The report said $12,496.46 in purchases were made with the victim's Visa card.
Break-in and tool theft
Goldsboro Police are investigating a break-in at L&R Garage at 724 N. John St. Tuesday in which a tool box and tools valued at $2,800 were reported missing. Entry was gained through the fence surrounding the business and by prying open the garage door.
Laptop theft
Colortyme at 2912-B U.S 70 West reported to Goldsboro Police the theft of two laptop computers valued at $2,700.
