Two people were reported shot within and near Goldsboro's city limits early Saturday morning, police reports show.
The first was at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, when Octavious Broadhurst, 21, of Dudley reported he was leaving Teasers night club on U.S. 117 when he heard two shots while walking to his car.
Broadhurst's cousin reportedly pulled Broadhurst into a car with an unknown driver, who took him to the emergency room at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Less than 30 minutes later, a Goldsboro officer responding to a call of shots fired at the Courtyard Apartment complex saw a woman speeding on South Slocumb Street.
Johnnetta Mayo, 26, of Hugh Street, was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle driven by Tangela King of Hinson Street.
Ms. Mayo was bleeding and told the officer she thought she had been shot.
The vehicle was struck by one bullet, which hit the left rear passenger door and Ms. Mayo, according to the report.
