Sid's robbed
Sid's Showgirls at 1931 N. William St. was robbed around 2 a.m. Sunday.
The Goldsboro police report said a black man wearing a dark colored bandana over his face pointed a handgun at the head of a Sid's employee and demanded money. The robber reportedly got an undetermined amount of cash from the register and fled into the passenger side of a black four-door car that left going south on William Street.
Woman mugged
Cynthia Carolina Braswell of East Holly Street told Goldsboro police she pulled into a parking space near her home and was trying to get out when a man ran up to her and started hitting her with his fists. She said she screamed, and he grabbed her purse and ran east on Holly Street.
The purse and contents were valued at $85.
Truck break-in
Leslie Kennon Jones of Wilson told Goldsboro police somebody entered his 1997 Ford Ranger while it was parked outside Fast Eddie's at 1308 Parkway Drive and stole a gun, two work saws, tools, jumper cables and CB radio. All were valued at $1,230. The report said the truck was unlocked at the time of the investigation. Jones said he thought he had locked the truck.
Store break-in
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office investigated a reported break-in at the Handy Mart No. 15 at 2495 U.S. 13 North early Sunday morning. Officers found thieves had done $500 worth of damage to the glass door to gain entry. Items taken included cigarettes and beer valued at $50.
