The shotgun-toting robber suspected in as many as nine other robberies in recent weeks probably struck again early this morning, police said.
Police were still investigating an incident reported around 6 a.m. today.
Police Sgt. Chad Calloway said he was not working the case, so he had limited details, but that other authorities said it appeared the same criminal had struck again.
"From what I've heard, it is our guy," Calloway said.
Calloway said he was informed that the robbery took place at the convenience store in the 1800 block of North Berkeley Boulevard, at the corner of New Hope Road.
Early information from investigating officers indicated that it was the same man, who is possibly working with another male, according to reports.
In most of the incidents, the robber has used a sawed-off shotgun with duct tape on the handle.
Calloway said he had not heard any details about the weapon yet.
Police said they would release more details as they become available.
