Organizers hope the event will be the first of many. Wal-Mart donated prizes for the winners, and Pet Dairy donated treats for all competitors. Tony Edmondson was emcee for the event, and Paula Edwards, Rochelle Page and Nancy Hatch were judges. Acts included poetry readings, puppeteers, vocal groups, dancers, models and readings.
