The Wayne County Board of Commissioners will meet at
9 a.m., Tuesday in their chambers in the Wayne County Courthouse.
On the agenda are two public hearings at 9:15 a.m.
The first is to close out the 2005 Community Development Block Grant Scattered Site Housing Project, which totaled $400,000.
The second is to discuss the requirements of the 2008 Community Development Block Grant program.
At issue is how the money should be spent -- whether for community revitalization, scattered site, infrastructure, economic development and housing development. If the county decides to apply in any of those categories, a second public hearing would be held prior to submitting any application.
Also scheduled are presentations by the Wayne County ABC Board, as well as WAGES.
Additionally, the commissioners will hear requests to continue support of the county Day Reporting Center, as well as the county Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.
Prior to the start of its formal meeting, the board will hold a briefing session at 8 a.m.
