EWMS student reports knife threat

A 13-year-old girl is claiming she had a knife pulled on her in the Eastern Wayne Middle School gym Thursday.
The teenager reported the incident Friday to school officials who later informed the Goldsboro Police Department.
According to the incident report, the girl and her 12-year-old friend were in the gymnasium when they were approached by a male student.
He told them to be quiet or he would "slit their throats."
When the girls scoffed at his threat, he pulled the knife out and put the blade against one of the girls.
Out of fear, the report adds, the 13-year-old victim did not come forward until the following day.
