Art show winners announced

The Goldsboro Junior Woman's Club had three winning submissions in a recent arts festival sponsored by the General Federation of Woman's Clubs and held in High Point.
Hannah Pettus from Wayne Country Day School won first place in the computer graphics category and received a $150 prize.
Amber Miller from Eastern Wayne High School won second place in pastel drawing, with a $75 prize. Stevee Rose from Wayne Christian School won third place for her black and white photo, and a $25 prize.
Club member winners were Kristin Neiman, president, first place in jewelry, and Melanie Cox, first vice president, first place for a black and white photo.
First place entries submitted by the Goldsboro Woman's Club and Junior Woman's Club from the District Level Arts Festival were eligible for the state contest. The winners also included: Gary Battle, Eastern Wayne High, pottery/ceramics; Chris Davis, Charles B. Aycock High, color photography; Jordan Calvert, Wayne Christian, painting; April Crow, Eastern Wayne High, painting; Kate Brantley, Eastern Wayne High, charcoal drawing.
