Virginia teen killed in two-car accident in Duplin County

BEAULAVILLE -- A Vir-ginia teenager is dead from a two-car crash after running a stop sign, a crash that also injured a Pink Hill man, the Highway Patrol said.
Jenna King, 17, ran a stop sign in her Honda Civic at the intersection of Sarecta Road and N.C. 241 around 8 p.m. on Thursday, Trooper D.L. Cavanaugh said.
Ms. King died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, the trooper said.
Ms. King had two passengers, but Cavanaugh said he did not have positive identification on them yet.
Ms. King's failure to stop caused a Ford Expedition driven by Rodney Turner of Pink Hill to "t-bone" the driver's side door, Cavanaugh said.
Turner also had two passengers, but the trooper said their names also were not available.
A total of five people were transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, including Ms. King and Turner, Cavanaugh said.
Pitt spokeswoman Barbara Dunn said Turner was treated and released for his injuries.
Cavanaugh did not know the conditions of the passengers in either Ms. King's or Turner's vehicle.
