Battle of Books next week

Student teams from five schools will be compete in the Battle of the Books competition next week, testing their reading and memory skills.
March 20 will mark Wayne County Public Schools' 22nd annual event, a quiz bowl-type competition that encourages reading. Students in grades 6 through 8 are required to read 27 books chosen by statewide committee.
Eastern Wayne, Grantham, Greenwood, Mount Olive, Norwayne and Spring Creek middle school students will square off on Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Dillard Middle School auditorium. The event is open to the public.
