Stolen gun turns up
Carroll Ingram of King Road, Grantham asked a Goldsboro police officer to check the serial number on a Ruger 9mm semi-automatic handgun and the weapon came up stolen, police said. Goldsboro police found the gun to be stolen from Willie Jefferson Junior of Turlington Drive, Benson in 2005. Ingram told police he bought the gun two years ago from a man he did not know at a truck stop, according to a report. Ingram turned the gun over to police, the report shows.
