BREAKING NEWS - Authorities charge suspect in UNC slaying

Authorities have charged a suspect in the killing of University of North Carolina student president Eve Carson.
According to documents filed at the Orange County Courthouse today, Demario James Atwater has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting.
Atwater, 21, of Durham, was arrested by Durham Police and handed over to Chapel Hill Police.
Carson, 22, was found dead last Wednesday on a street about a mile from campus. The biology and political science major from Athens, Ga. had been shot several times, including once in the right temple.
