MOUNT OLIVE -- Mega-bookseller Barnes & Noble will take over management of the bookstore at Mount Olive College, effective March 15, officials announced.
The bookstore will remain in his current location, with plans to relocate by the fall semester to the academic affairs building at the college's entrance, said Bam Alling, vice president for finance at MOC.
"The new location will make the bookstore more accessible and be closer to the academic section of campus, Alling said.
In addition to changing the look and feel of the bookstore, the move will also streamline the way books will be made available to the college communit.
According to Alling, as part of the contract, Barnes & Noble has the ability to launch a Web site where students can make purchases online with new or used textbooks being delivered directly to a student's home or to the campus bookstore for pickup.
Additional amenities and services will include Starbucks Coffee and convenience foods, daily book buybacks and centralized book orders for the college's six locations.
