MOUNT OLIVE -- A partnership formed in 2006 between Mount Olive College and Johnston Community College has proven to be beneficial, with more than 73 students enrolled in an accelerated one-night-a-week program toward specialized degrees.
The courses, taught at JCC, lead to a bachelor of science degree in business or health care management. In December, Mount Olive graduated its first students from the partnership.
The program is an innovative approach to education that gives working adults with about two years of college credits the opportunity to complete their degrees while continuing to work.
The Management and Organizational Development program is geared toward managment, economics, marketing, accounting, computer systems and business policy. The Health Care Management Program provides a solid foundation in such areas as health care and related industries.
The next Health Care Management program starts in March, and the Management and Organizational Development program in August. Information: 1-800-653-0854 or e-mail asullivan@moc.edu.
