Man shot

Wayne County sheriff's deputies found a Croom Drive man shot in the back in front of his home Wednesday night. Jai Keiunna Kornegay, 29, who also has a home on Breazeale Avenue in Mount Olive was in stable condition at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Kornegay told police he was investigating a noise outside his home when shot, investigators said.
