Wayne County Sherrif Arson Investigator Shawn Harris inspects the remains of a fire of unknown origin that North Carolina Historic Sites officials say started early this morning on the back porch of the Charles B. Aycock Birthplace main house in Fremont. The fire did not spread to the adjacent buildings, but the site will remain closed temporarily.
