High school open houses

Wayne County public high schools will host several open house events for parents and students, ushering in the second semester of the school year.
The open houses are scheduled for Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. at Spring Creek, Charles B. Aycock and Eastern Wayne and Rosewood high schools. Students can meet with teachers and pick up class schedules.
Southern Wayne and Goldsboro high schools will announce the dates and times for their open house events later.
The Wayne Early/Middle College High will hold its Parents Night, which will include "student-led conferences" on Feb. 18, from 1-6 p.m.
First semester grades will not be available during the open house events. Report cards for grades K-12 will be sent home with students on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
