Accreditation leader to speak at MOC

A national leader of accreditation in the U.S. will deliver the convocation address at Mount Olive College next week.
On Jan. 22, Dr. Belle Wheelan, president of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, will speak in Southern Bank Auditorium at Raper Hall at 11 a.m.
She is the first woman and the first black to serve in the rob, which is also true of a number of capacities she has served in during a career that has spanned 33 years.
Dr. Wheelan has received numerous awards and recognition including four honorary degrees as well as Washingtonian Magazine's 100 Most Powerful Women in Washington in 2001 and the AAUW Woman of Distinction Award in 2002.
