MOUNTOLIVE -- The R.A. Bryan Foundation has pledged $100,000 to Mount Olive College to advance efforts to build a Fine Arts Village, prompting college officials to announce the amphitheater will be named in honor of the Bryan Foundation.
The Fine Arts Village will combine renovation of existing facilities with new construction and include an open-air amphitheater that will be used for such events as symphony pereformances, meetings and student gathering. An instrumental music building will also be part of the complex, and Laughing-house Hall, the current arts building, will be renovated as the final component of the project.
The Bryan Foundation has been a long-time supporter of the college, said Chris Wood, vice president for institutional advancement at the college.
