Mar-Mac volunteer fireman Paul Kelly hoses down a pile of trash outside an unoccupied mobile home on Durham Lake Road Tuesday afternoon after a brush fire spread to several unoccupied homes. Firefighters from Mar-Mac, Thoroughfare and Dudley departments responded to the alarm. About $3,000 in damage was done to the buildings owned by Woodrow Williams and Ronnie Williams. A burning ban that had been in place for months has been temporarily lifted following recent rains.
